Can I learn the violin if I don’t own a violin?
Yes you can! I can help you find an instrument that is suitably sized and priced. There are a range of options ranging from an inexpensive hire instrument ($60) through to a priceless Italian instrument!
Is the violin particularly difficult?
Short answer: no…. the violin is just like any other instrument to learn. It has an initial learning phase that is challenging however as you progress it becomes more and more enjoyable. Just like piano, or recorder or tennis!
Can I do an exam?
Yes you can! Some students thrive on having the goal of an exam. I am experienced in preparing students for exams from grade one to diploma level. Many of my students have had excellent results with ABRSM and Trinity College examination boards.
Can I have a trial lesson?
Of course you can! I offer no obligation trial lessons so that you can try out my teaching style and see whether it is for you.
